I met him and Tim Robbins here in Belfast during the making of City of ember. He was a real gentleman.

The name didn't ring any bells but seeing his picture triggered many memories of his appearance in many films and TV productions.

So many actors seemed to have died this year and My Ryall was up there with the best of them.

RIP sir, you will be missed.
