Human Rights Day

Just a quick note that today is Human Rights Day.

We quite rightly have our complaints about our lives but the fact that we are able to complain about them on forums like these is indicative that we enjoy many more of these basic rights than billions.

Worth a moment of pause.

Okay; please resume normal service regarding evil Tories, illiberal Labour, devious Lib Dems, racist UKIP fruitcakes and malfunctioning cable services.

Seems appropriate to remind us all of this in light of yesterday's CIA torture report

People obsess about their rights forgetting the other side of the equation: Responsibilities.

Yeah let's take a thread regarding human rights throughout the world, where there are billions for whom the most basic ones just don't exist, and use it to whine about responsibilities.

Think about it is all we can do and for many why donate time thinking about something we cannot change vicious circle.
