No ringer on my phone
 

Hi all , just had Virgin phone installed with tv and broadband . All working fine except my binetone phone does not ring ! i have a dial tone can make calls but when ive tried ringing the house phone from my mobile it does not ring !:(
Anyone got any idea's .

Faulty phone
Does it ring at entry point master socket?
E side faulty in cab

the phones are brand new and i have tried them both(answer machine and single phone)in the master socket but all they do is ring out but not ring in ! could it be they are not compatible with Virgin ? i thought all new phones would be ok :erm:

As long as the ringer is on and your ringing the correct number it should work

Can you try the phones on a friends house and try their phones in your house?

Have tried this idea but to no avail . I have checked on Virgin site and they say there is a problem with the phone lines in my area so will have to wait and see if thats the problem !
