Virgin Media Business Superhub 1 issues

Oops.

Quote:

A number of Virgin Media broadband customers have been cut off due to a firmware update cock-up, The Register can reveal.

Customers using the company's Super Hub 1 services were affected by the outage at the beginning of the weekend, with the company saying it is "working to resolve the problem".

However, it is unclear how many customers have been affected. One source was told by a Virgin engineer that all Super Hub 1 customers - up to 13,000 people - were cut off, although a Virgin Media Business mouthpiece said the number affected was "small".

Re: Virgin Media Business Superhub 1 issues

Our Business SH1 is still on the BUS_V2.37.06 firmware. We are running it in routed subnet mode however, so it may be that firmware upgrades for those units are being delayed.

Oooh. Thanks for this, prompted me to look at our settings and found that for some time we've been using our backup ADSL :(

Re: Virgin Media Business Superhub 1 issues

I have the SH1 on the Business 50 Mb/s package. I didn't experience an outage this past weekend, so the quote in the article " One source was told by a Virgin engineer that all Super Hub 1 customers - up to 13,000 people - were cut off," isn't accurate.

I have the reported bad firmware - BUS_V2.37.13 but have not experienced the 12 hourly lockups others have reported.
