Re: Christmas Decorations Already!!!
There are one or two who have their decorations out in November around our area but we always do ours on the 1st of December.

Re: Christmas Decorations Already!!!
All the shopping centres In and around Glasgow have theirs up already. Way too early.

Re: Christmas Decorations Already!!!
No decorations round my way, but I was in Argos earlier and they had Christmas music playing. I must admit, I put on my Christmas Spotify playlist over the weekend.

Re: Christmas Decorations Already!!!
When i used todo big displays on my house (always had the most sockets in my town :D) i would start putting them up on november 17 (my birthday so ALWAYS had the day off work). There was a lot to put up so it took some time to get sourted so had to start early.
However i would NEVER EVER dream of flicking the switch (exept for occational testing) untill December 1st. IMO if you start celebrating Christmas too early you devalue it. (and would always switch them off on jan 6th and were 100% removed by the end of the following weekend). |

Christmas?
Just getting over Easter. |
Re: Christmas Decorations Already!!!
The flat in Crow Road, Glasgow, that always goes early with the decorations, has really excelled itself this year. They have been up for at least a week and there are a lot more lights hanging outside than in previous years.
I suspect they think they're a local spectacle, and therefore they have to keep doing it because people expect them to. Actually, I think they probably are a local spectacle, but not for the reasons they think. |
Re: Christmas Decorations Already!!!
Unsure if you live in a rough area?
If any of your neighbours put their Christmas tree up at the weekend then you probably are! |

Re: Christmas Decorations Already!!!
I'm working on a theory that, in Scotland, there's a correlation between the size of the YES poster you had in your window, and the date your Christmas tree goes up in the same window. Essentially, the bigger the former, the sooner the latter. I know of a row of houses near the shops in Clydebank where that theory can be well and truly tested.

Re: Christmas Decorations Already!!!
No chavtastic displays yet but it's only a matter of time. :(

Re: Christmas Decorations Already!!!
The house that faces the end of the road we now live on is now plastered with lights - to the point Natalie cannot see any free space on it's walls.
They have yet to turn them on but I expect it'll be interesting. |

None outside any of my Yes voting friends, either, but then none of them turned their house fronts into political billboards, unlike a few I can recall. ;) Do you get in to Clydebank much? There was one particular row of houses more or less opposite the police station that had to be seen to be believed. I'd put money on them having their Christmas decorations up sooner rather than later. |
