Someone help me here please
 
:confused: hi i want to connect my downstairs sky hd box to my mums room upstairs.
I have a coaxial cable and a few connectors but i am honestly clueless to this.

What i need is someone to name every piece of equipment and connectors i will need to do this in layman's terms.

Basically i need to know how to attach the connectors as i have already exposed the wire on both ends of the coaxial cable and got rid of all the plastic casing.
I just need to know the rest.

It would be much appreciated if you could be really simple and whatever connectors i need,need to be named as they would in a shop!! lol

Anyway if anyone can be bothered i would be very greatful. ;);)

You need a pair of f-type connectors. Push-on are easiest for you. Like these:

You need to make sure that you have peeled back the right amount of the sheath, that you have the right amount of the core protruding from the finished job, and, most of all, that there is not even one single piece of the outer copper braid in contact with the core.
