It just came back up, but power levels seem a bit off:

Locked 1 267000000 Hz QAM256 -5.5 dBmV 40.2 dB 35 0
Locked 2 275000000 Hz QAM256 -5.7 dBmV 39.8 dB 22 0
Locked 3 283000000 Hz QAM256 -6.3 dBmV 39.9 dB 46 0
Locked 4 291000000 Hz QAM256 -6.7 dBmV 39.4 dB 63 0
Locked 6 307000000 Hz QAM256 -5.6 dBmV 39.4 dB 19 0
Locked 7 315000000 Hz QAM256 -6.2 dBmV 39.4 dB 18 0

I was down in CF10 last week, didn't like it.....

Go home early and stop complaining it's good news.

Two problems with your advice:

1: My office isn't in Cardiff, therefore my connection is still up

and

2: Its my job to fix this, therefore I can't simply "go home"

Lol.

But anyway. Your power levels are OK-ish. The RxLev is a bit on the low side and could be better, but the SNR is perfectly good.

Having said that, when I had issues with a cloud service not working in my (or anyone else's) office and called support (who denied any problems), it turned out that TT business (who have most of our ADSLs having taken Nildram over) had a massive routing fault.

That time I did "go home" and check it on my system (living a mile from the office does have its bonuses)

Regarding our VM connection, its stayed up since yesterday, and downtime was probably half an hour or so.

I only live a mile away from work but I wouldn't bother leaving the office to check that, a quick VPN/RDP/SSH session or flip over to my 4G mobile connection would do the trick.

Problem was this program was some activeX/.Net based monstrosity that took IE to work. Also my office is in a converted country house which can totally block wifi with two internal walls (3G doesn't even come close).

it also meant I could sneak an early lunch...

That alone is reason enough
