Gold in 4.3.
 

I have a widescreen TV and its set to 16.9 but when i watch Gold its showing in 4.3 so am getting the black sides.

is this Gold broadcasting like that or have i got wrong settings on Tivo box?

but when they show widescreen programs its full screen.

This is the correct way to display a programme originally made 4:3 but if you go into the help & setting menu and choose the video display menu then you can change the display method.
