Removing services question

Hi Guys n Gals

I'm currently on BB 20 MB (L?), TV XL and Phone evenings and weekends (L ?). I've had these services seemingly forever as evidenced by my Ambit modem and NTL branded Samsung TV box. I'm paying (from memory) just over £60 p/m which includes a very long standing discount, i've no idea what the value of the discount is, as it isn't itemised any more.

I've come to the realisation that i don't really need the TV or phone any more, i'd prefer just to have the Broadband. Woiuld i be best to ring retentions to get the package succesfully reduced and can anyone tell me how much just broadband would cost and if it would tie me to a new contract.

Thanks :)

No idea of cost, but yes would most likely mean a new contract. I think if I remember right from others on here, you would probably pay a slightly higher price for having just one service from Virgin but someone else would probably know more than me.

The cheapest broadband on it's own is £26.50 and is also 50mb so you'd see a speed increase. I imagine you would still be able to get a loyalty discount applied so it may end up cheaper than that but your best bet is just calling retentions and asking them honestly. There's no need to give them the spiel that you want to leave etc as they are genuinely helpful and will give you whatever discounts the system allows.
