Call/text blocking apps
Anyone know of a good, simple and reliable free call/text blocking app? There are loads around so I'd appreciate some feedback from actual users. Cheers as always. :tu:

Re: Call/text blocking apps
If you have a Samsung phone then there is call blocking built in. Think it's limited to their phone rather than being on all android but I may be wrong. If you have one of them you can block certain numbers or even all number that start or end in certain digits, so you can block all of say Manchester if you want :) It can be accessed by long pressing a number in your call log or through the call menu's somewhere. Works so well you won't even know you missed a call unless you check the logs :)
Otherwise you need an app and I can't help there, sawwy! |
Re: Call/text blocking apps
I use this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...e.phoneblocker good because it lets you back up to card/phone so if you reinstall/reset your phone you dont lose all your settings etc. Also used this in the past too, good though (at the time) no way to back up settings) https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....easyblacklist I've used both as intended and apart from looking at the logs you get no idea that a blocked number has rung/texted you, which is kinda the point. :) |
Re: Call/text blocking apps
Call blocking can be done by any number of apps, and as Qtx mentioned, many phones have this built in (not just Samsung). There is no provision in the GSM system for SMS blocking, but various apps can be set to discard/ignore messages from certain recipients once they arrive.
