Tesco Mobile
 

Anyone here use Tesco Mobile? I have just bought a used iPhone 4 to replace my old phone that's about 6yrs old. I don't want a 12 month contract but notice they do monthly contracts with a plan that suits my needs for about £10 a month.

For that I get 250 mins talk time, 5000 texts and 500mb data.

Is this a good deal bearing in mind I am a very light user and doubt I would need more.

My mother is with them and they're pretty good. They use the O2 network.

They use o2, no issues.

FYI talkmobile, who use vodafone is £7 per month

If you're a very light user PAYG may be cheaper than any form of contract.

giff gaffs better if the phone is sim free. £ 10 gives you 500 mins unlimited texts and a gig of data

Tesco Mobile performs better than GiffGaff. And you get free 4G (not that that matters, without a 4G phone)

Giff gaff are trailing 4G anyway and will have it a couple of months.

So Tesco on O2 performs better than Giffgaff on O2 ?

Limited, existing customers only trial pricing.

The normal pricing:
With 4G: £12 a month, 2GB data
Without 4G: £12 a month, unlimited data.

And that's on a network that's already widely known for having speed and capacity problems.

Just found the future costs for new customers and its the same as Tesco's so obviously in your mind Tesco must be to expensive also

Tesco only beat Giffgaf if you take a 12 month contract @ the £10 range, The future Giffgaff charges are £10 same as Tesco for £12 quid you get 250 mins unlimited texts and 2 GB of data for £15 you get 500 mins unlimited texts and 2 GB of data

Tesco's rolling month have more minutes less data untill the £17.50 which unless you chat a hell of a lot is almost all you can eat.

Looking the best Tariff is £15 on Tesco if you take the £12.50 and add a gig of data but it is a contract giffgaff is not a contract although its half a gig lighter than giffgaff but 250 mins more

Also if you go over your limit on Tesco the call charges appear to be a hell of a lot higher

Tesco 25p per min to mobiles etc Giff gaff 10p Tesco Text 10p Giffgaff 6p. Do Tesco do free Tesco to Tesco like Giffgaff does?
