Tivo box question
Hi all
Just wondered if someone can confirm (or not) if the HD Tivo box has a scart output. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have RF output ?? and I want to be able to distribute an RF signal from the Tivo around the house (merged with Freeview signal as i do at the moment with an old Samsung SD box). I'm planning to get a scart to RF adapter to use with Tivo. Thanks ;) |

Re: Tivo box question
Thanks guys, as long as it has scart i should be OK.
---------- Post added at 13:30 ---------- Previous post was at 13:19 ---------- Actually i've found a snag, as far as i can tell if the Tivo is outputting via HDMI it can't simultaneously output a picture from Scart, which is a bit of a blow as i don't want to be resetting the output of the box depending on where I am. The old V+ box didn't have this problem as it had 2 scarts, the "VCR" scart output a signal even when the machine was also in HDMI output.:td: |
Re: Tivo box question
TiVo does output to both SCART and HDMI at the same time

Re: Tivo box question
OK many thanks Ben, i've actually just read that it will do both outputs as long as the HDMI connected TV is switched on, once that TV goes off then the box goes into effective "standby" i.e. no scart output either.

The TiVo now has an energy saving mode where output to HDMI and SCART is turned off but this is nothing to do with whether any TV is turned off. This mode is controlled by the TiVo and can be set to off if desired. |

(Where are you finding all this incorrect information?) |
Re: Tivo box question
Thanks for the reponses all ! @ Spiderplant My (varied) information regarding Tivo output came from a combination of scart to rf adapter reviews on Amazon and general googling including an older thread on here....not all the info i read is up to date tho' so i'll ignore it, this thread has reassured me that i should be able to do what i am planning. ;)
