Superhub 2 Switching to own Router
Hi all
I was expecting so much with a new super hub which was installed yesterday but have been left bitterly disappointed. No real improvement from super hub 1 in terms of wifi and cannot connect to 5G wifi signal. What do people recommend going back to Virgin Media and raise issues or connect a separate router..... If I go for a separate router is that easy to do and are there any instructions out there on going this.... Would really appreciate any advice. Many thanks for your time Regards Mike |
Re: Superhub 2 Switching to own Router
Get a top end router from Asus or Linksys.
You just need to switch the SH to modem mode and then it's just a matter of connecting. Initially get the set up running on defaults and then when satisfied you can start experimenting with the wealth of extra features. Have fun :) |
Re: Superhub 2 Switching to own Router
^^ Good advice. It's much better to have your own setup with equipment you can trust. Then if the VM stuff goes belly up then you only need to set the replacement to modem mode and just attach the cable from your home network. Job done.
Basically the SH is still left wanting. |
Re: Superhub 2 Switching to own Router
Check out the prices on Amazon, some good reductions on Linksys.
