Superhub 2 Connecting Samsung S2 to 5G wifi
Hi all
Just had a superhub 2 installed and would like to connect my phone Samsung S2 to both the 2G and 5 G wifi. I can see both on my phone and can connect to the 2G fine...however when I try and connect to the 5G network I get and authentication error or not in range error come up (although I am sat right next to it) ! I have connected on my Tesco Hudl on both 2G and 5G fine.. Any ideas what the issue is or a fix...? Many thanks for your time Regards Mike |
Re: Superhub 2 Connecting Samsung S2 to 5G wifi
You might need to change the 5ghz wifi channel setting to auto compatibility.

Re: Superhub 2 Connecting Samsung S2 to 5G wifi
The 5Ghz wireless on the S2 is horrendous. I would suggest you stop trying and simply avoid it.

Re: Superhub 2 Connecting Samsung S2 to 5G wifi
the 5Ghz wireless on the SH2 is brilliant, use it all the time on my iPad.
Can you try and "forget" the network and try to connect again from scratch? |
Re: Superhub 2 Connecting Samsung S2 to 5G wifi
You may need to add the phone as a trusted device to get it to connect

Doesn't change the fact that the wireless on his device, which is not an iPad is utterly terrible. Unless you want to swap his S2 for your iPad? Which you're welcome to do so... |
Re: Superhub 2 Connecting Samsung S2 to 5G wifi
If it helps, my wireless settings are as follows:
Both channels use WPA-PSK[AES] security 2.4GHz Up to 144Mbps, Greenfield Mode Off 5.0GHz Up to 450Mbps Greenfield Mode On Channel Auto Compatibility Hope this helps |
Re: Superhub 2 Connecting Samsung S2 to 5G wifi
Greenfield could well be the problem. The S2 does not support HT mode. One of the many crappities of its crappy wifi.
As I said I strongly suggest you don't bother. You're wasting time trying to make something work that'll only make things slower and less reliable. |
