HP recommend to use DVD + for creating recovery DVDs,the DVD drive supports DVD +/-

Hi,

I am setting up a new HP pc for a friend and HP recommend to use DVD + for creating recovery DVDs, the DVD drive supports DVD + and DVD - .

Why would HP advise DVD + discs? https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2014/06/17.png

Theoretically, due to improvements in the standard, DVD+R is more reliable than DVD-R.
