HP Micro server N36l fans
I was just wondering if anyone knows that fan the N36L uses as the connectors look different, the fan is rather loud and I want to change it.

Re: HP Micro server N36l fans
these are advertised as 22dBA, so it should really be silent. might be a faulty sensor. might be worth taking it back.
all the same: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1193-page7.html if the above is no use Click Here. what speed is the fan spinning at? |
Re: HP Micro server N36l fans
Its currently 1000RPM I just want the server silent, might look at the fan mod that they suggest in the links above.

Re: HP Micro server N36l fans
Whatever the cable is they pretty much all feed off exactly the same power anyway. Cut the cable and install a fan silencer (resistor) in the middle.
