USB Print server
I have two USB HP Laser printers (1020 & 1320).
Both were connected to my Asus RT-N66U router via a Belkin USB Hub (F5L009), but it is not compatible with Windows 7 & 8. Can anybody recommend a option that will allow 2 printers to be connected to the router (at the same time if possible). XP & above would be nice. Another bonus option would be to allow printing from Android devices. |
Re: USB Print server
I thought the USB print server just allowed the printers to connect to the network and all attached pcs just need the printer drivers installed? never used one but that was my (limited)understanding
I see it is wifi http://www.amazon.co.uk/D-link-Multi...productDetails ---------- Post added at 14:18 ---------- Previous post was at 14:14 ---------- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-4-Port...-/171251227633 ---------- Post added at 14:19 ---------- Previous post was at 14:18 ---------- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cisco-Link...-/360896875000 would need a multi adapter and suss what power you need ---------- Post added at 14:20 ---------- Previous post was at 14:19 ---------- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/High-Quali...-/400369922496 |
Re: USB Print server
Hom3r if the network hub has an ip address you should be able to manually add the printer and set it as a standard TCP/IP Printer.

Re: USB Print server
That is compatiable with Windows 7 as I have a Dymo label printer and Fujitsu scanner attached to it. (well did till a few weeks ago when I packed my kit up ready to move)
