Does Connection Look Fine?

Connection seems a wee bit off, since Tech visit on Monday.
Just wondering what your opinion regarding my stats are?

The levels are OK.

The Network Log doesn't say much. 3-Mar : was that a reboot? Or turning the SH1 on? Likewise 04-Mar?

Re: Does Connection Look Fine?

Tech Visit was on Monday added White VM Branded Boxes behind Broadband & TV...
Not sure about the 04/02/2014 entry...

He added isolators, basically did not find an issue

Re: Does Connection Look Fine?

What would be the reason he installed them?
The Tech visit was to swap a Set Top box due to hard-drive failure, which he changed but upon looking round the property mentioned that he needed to fit the isolaters which you mentioned behind Broadband & Television - Also checked we had one in the main room of the house.

Every install should/must have them to both provide surge protection (some measure of lightning arrest) and de-couple any DC/AC which can be optionally supplied (48-60v?) down amp cascade on shield of coax to power line extenders (although it shouldn't bypass tap boards anyway).

Similar principle if you check in your NTE5 Master BT socket?

You might consider that works both ways as it protects the VM tech's eye's lighting up and hair curling when his head is in the street cab if you somehow managed to place mains on the internal drop cable? ;)

That said you can see a few cowboy installs without isolators. :(

Possibly or if it visually looks old he might have just renewed it?
You need to speak to JB66 or someone that has REAL hands on knowledge and not an armchair theorist! ;)
