belkin n+ router

Hi there,

I have a belkin n+ wireless router and i can not get it to marry up to the superhub, the modem icon on the front of the router just flashes orange all the time and won't go solid blue and no amount of power cycling the superhub/router seems to solve the problem,is ther something i am missing or is the router had its day as i have had it working for the past five years ?

Regards,Paul.:(

Hi heero,

"you'll need to do an ipconfig /release_all and then an ipconfig /renew_all to force the PC to re-request DHCP."
what does this mean as i am not the most computer savvy person in the world !

Just to add links

Enabling and disabling modem mode on your Virgin Media router
http://help.virginmedia.com/system/s...MER_TYPE=Cable

Use the router wizard to set up your Belkin router, put this in your web browser 192.168.2.1

to be honest your router should configure itself whether or not your SuperHub is in modem mode. have you updated firmware? Tried a factory reset on the Belkin router holding down the pin hole button for 30 odd seconds ?

if all fails then get in touch with Belkin for a new unit, I think your unit is under lifetime warranty. fire off an email to

Quote:

warranty.verification@belkin.com
be sure to put in all your details, name, address including country, contact number etc. if the unit is infact under lifetime warranty then they will send you a pre-paid return label for you to print out. its normally 1st class but not recorded. when you go to post it add recorded delivery on top, it will cost you a few quid and will cover you if the parcel is lost during transit.
