I have this box and from time to time I keep thinking I would like to record the odd programme but not on a regular basis. Just an hour here and there.

When I press the red record button it tells me to go to the virginmedia.com/upgradeyourtv page.

Is that right? I'm on a M+ TV package. How much would it cost?

Have a look here (http://store.virginmedia.com/bundles...llections.html) and see if any of these suite your needs and budget. The Essential Collection is probably the closest to the services that you've currently got. These collections include a TiVo box as standard however there may be a one off installation fee of £49.95 although sometimes you can negotiate this.

I'd recommend you give them a call and see what they can do for you.
