Access to unsubscribed channels on 'TV Anywhere'

I've just had a new Tivo box,and I've been looking at the 'Virgin TV Anywhere' service on the internet, but it seems that I can get access to channels on my pc that I'm not subscribed to and can't watch on tv.

What's going on with this,is it some sort of a trap to extort money from the unwary who might click on the wrong channel?

Am I being paranoid?

No not all channels are available on anywhere due to rights issues. You could have TV xl and not be able to watch them all online.

Can you actually watch them, or are they just listed and you get an error when you try to watch them?

Are you sure your TiVo has access to all the channels it should have for your package? It might be that TVA is right and the TiVo is wrong.

I'm on the cheapest package (M) and I noticed that a lot of channels I shouldn't have access to were on the screen,so I clicked on Discovery and sure enough it played the programme they were broadcasting.

After that I figured it might be best to stop messing about lest I find myself with a huge bill from VM.

He's right about the Discovery Channel, it's watchable online on M when it shouldn't be. Other channels like Syfy, Sky1 etc seem to be blocked as they should

Interesting, what other channels are able to be viewed on that tier that shouldn't be?

Discovery is on a promotion on TV Anytime as a freebie for all tv customers i think.
