I use ClipGrab on PC and it's a great bit of software that works well.

It's available for Mac although convertor apparently only works on Intel based Macs. You need to click "Show All Download Options" to find the Mac downloads on the website.

I would have said Freemake as there are loads of results via Google... but....

no need to install anything, just enter the url into the site above and save audio, video, or both, not just youtube, but loads of streaming sites

Pwnyoutube (google it) requires no software download to work, although you can add a bookmarklet to your browser if you wish, to speed things up.
