lip sync issues on sky sports.
Does anyone have any problems with the lip sync on sky sports 1 HD?
not sure why but this happens a lot on this channel but is it a sky issue or virgin issue? how can the problem be fixed at my end? |
Re: lip sync issues on sky sports.
I've got Sky and the lip sync on my Sky Sports 1 (both SD and HD) is fine

Re: lip sync issues on sky sports.
Same problem with the Boxing Day coverage - not noticeable during the games nor (I believe) the ads, but very apparent with the studio talking heads. I'll be watching the matches on Sunday so I'll have a look then - surely if it's fine during the ads and only apparent in the studio it's a Sky problem rather than VM?
Was fine before Christmas btw. |
Re: lip sync issues on sky sports.
The studio chat on Sky Sports 1 watching on Sky itself was in sync. I watched the post match studio debate/commentary and didn't have any issues.

Re: lip sync issues on sky sports.
Thank you MM. I will think twice in future before trying to help someone out.
As for the OP, don't ask whether it's a Sky or Virgin problem in future if you're not prepared to listen to others. As other members of this forum will testify, I used to have VM VIP package but got rid of the tv and downgraded the other services once I found out another price rise was on the horizon. Not that I should have to explain myself to someone who is relatively new to this forum. Rant over lol |
Re: lip sync issues on sky sports.
Back on topic: I'm watching Goals on Sunday in HD and the studio stuff is out of sync slightly, but the ads, including one for Sky Movies is spot on (Cumberpatch's enunciation is a perfect test).
Over on SS1 in SD it's better. As lip sync issues go it's mild, but, unless Sky provides a separate feed for the ads (which I doubt) it's a Sky feed fault that curiously doesn't affect their own service. |
Re: lip sync issues on sky sports.
The only quick cure I have for lip synch problems is to change to another channel and then change back to the original channel.
Otherwise you just have to notify VM because you receive that channel through their equipment. |
