Autumn Statement: 'The Plan Is Working'

http://news.sky.com/story/1178140/au...lan-is-working

Isn't it strange how Mr Osborne has decided the new provisions of what his government will be achieving starting next year.

Especially a £2.95 increase in OAP from April, and Fuel Duty levy is cancelled. Its strange how various companies have been calling for this since the coalition came into power, and this was turned down.

But 2015 is election year - and bingo they come up with all this 'magical' stuff, what an enticement. They say that there will still be hardships - who for? the rich or the poor - that are being hit by the Bedroom tax etc.

What Cameron is doing is to give out these treats, and then when they get back into power, will take it back off.

All governments try to dish out treats towards the end of their term of office as enticements to get votes. Nothing new.

I highly doubt Labour will be back in power as long as Milliband is party leader

If it was David instead of Ed then they would have a much better chance of getting back in power.

The pension rise is based on the CPI and means it can't be taken back

The fuel duty rise cancellation is ANOTHER cancellation to go with the other 2 or 3 that where cancelled

Yet another factless anti tory rant from Arthur

The election bribes will be in the 2015 budget I would imagine.

Question is do you want the numpty's that engineered the biggest bust in history a second chance at screwing it up
?

That is the question and sadly a lot of people will want them back because they think they will get all their goodies back

Lesson well and truly learnt. Labour werent good but this present govt, for anyone but the wealthy has been a disaster. With lack of a credible alternative I`ll certainly be voting labour.

Frankly theyre all much of a muchness but at least labour do show a modicum of support for the sick and disabled.

vive la revolution

I find it incredible that anyone is considering Labour at all

how come they didn't do any of the things they are banging on about now - when they had thirteen years to give it a go

I also thought I remember someone saying they "wanted to see an end to Punch & Judy politics" - but it's more so than ever - playing to the gallery etc

It disgusts me when things get "put off till the next election" and the whole country just lurches from one disaster to another

If I had any say in anything - I'd get shot of all the microsoft liceneces - use open office or similar opensource software -that would save a stack

I'd nationalize the power industries back to where they belong and stop this nonsense about having to 'shop around' for power

I'd put a stop to that high speed rail folly and use the money to improve the things that already exist or replace the infrastructure that Beeching short sightedly axed

In fact I'd probably nationalize most of the public transport systems - it's the working people that need the free travel - not the people on sickness and benefits - that need the help most :(

______________

just thought I'd get it off my chest
