i am no longer getting emails from ebay, paypal, cineworld, or facebook, in my inbox using window live mail. as booked a ticket last night on cineworld.also bidded on few item on ebay i have no problem getting same emails on my samsung S4 just issue with inbox. i can send mail ok

I have an issue with one email account, thunderbird asked me to try the password which I rejected, I tried to access via the website but the account was dissabled, and now I'm waiting for a call, as I tired to phone but none of the options on the stupid voice message was applicable.

What are your POP3 settings for Windows Live mail AND your Samsung? There's a special set that need to be put in or one device will "steal" emails before they reach the other.

sorry got no clue how check where POP3 settings for Windows Live mail are on samsung all i did was enter my email & pass and it searched for the server and it was up and running

Then there's your problem. You need to read a guide on how to set up Windows Live mail: http://help.virginmedia.com/system/s...MER_TYPE=Cable

Now, here's the thing. With the default settings (what you've got), the first client to get an email keeps it, the other clients won't "see" it. What you need to do is put "recent:" in front of the username. So joe.bloggs@ntlworld.com becomes recent:joe.blogs@ntlworld.com - but beware, you WILL get a deluge of emails when you set this up.

i spoke CS around 6pm who said he look into my account and get back so far i am still waiting. strange thing is i just gone to my inbox and i am get emails far back as March/April 2013. so think i got 7months emails to come through. Do you know whats happening? Thanks

I had the same issue a few weeks ago, virgin had to fill out a form which was sent to Google to reactivate the account. It took about 3 days.

Yes, I've already told you what's happening - your phone is picking up emails your desktop is not because when your phone downloads the email, Google marks it as downloaded and so the desktop doesn't receive it. You need to change the settings on your PC to get the "missing" emails.

I have never had that problem. When I get emails they go through to my desktop, phone and tablet and I have never set anything special, just what the op did with regards to username and password.

You probably use IMAP like most sane people but POP3 still exists as a default for some.

Try rebooting the phone, this often helps.

i also lost e-rmail contact with thunderbird so had to switch to gmx.com for mail contact

its strange i can get email from CF sent to my phone when someone replys but not from another site. same with ebay can get notificatione mail when asking question to ebay members but i dont get notification email when i have been out bidded. All using ntlworld emails
