BT Infinity Strange one ...

Since 15-Nov my BT landline has been down in so far as the telephone doesn't work. (BT have said they'll fix it by 21-Nov; what happened to the 3 day SLA?).

I can't access the internet from the LAN side of the router connected to BT Infinity, but the BT Infinity TBB graph (viewed on another ISP) is still populating.

The router stats show no Internet connection and the HG12 modem shows no DSL LED.

Any ideas of why the TBB graph is populating? I should add that this is a hacked HG12. Am I right to assume it's the ASUS riouter that's responding to Pings or is it the LAN2 on the HG12? What am I missing here?

Sure its the right IP? If you definitely have no DSL connection then chances are someone else has that IP and you are seeing their graph

ah - yes, I've found it. Ten days ago, there was a red line blip and the graph sudeenl;y changed to a much lower latency (which I never checked). Then four days ago, it changed again to a pattern identical with my norm. So when I looked at it I assumed it to be mine.

Doh & thanks for reminding me of the obvious!!
