1) now not recording shows listed as new
2) records shows that are repeats
3) picture freezes, but sound plays on
4) child like instructions on screen.

Please tell what is the improvement.:(

Don't know why you are dumbstruck by the lack of improvements. Being the pessimist you are, surely this was to be expected?!?;):)

Anyway of stopping the HMDI IS NOT AVAILABLE message popping up every 15 minutes or so?

Apart from that happy with the changes.

I don't like it saying "Waking up" everytime I take it off stand by though! Why it couldn't just come on straight away like before is beyond me.

I think it will do if you turn off the power saving features.

Because it now has to restart the hard drive and start buffering 3 tuners, the only thing in standby before the update was the picture and sound. I personally would be more worried if it said nothing at all, just had a blank screen whilst what is basically booting up.

Make sure you haven't got a SCART lead connected between the TiVo and TV. If that's not the cause, you'll need to give the VM Faults team a call.

And you didn't think of doing that as the first option? No, far better option is to have a moan I suppose.
