Virginmedia Contract

I signed a 18 month contract in April 2013 for the XL package with a 12 month1/2 price promotion. I have a copy of my signed contract together with supporting emails.

6 months on, VM are now taking the full amount from my account and claiming the promotion was only for 6 months despite sending them the contract and supporting emails.

What do I do in this situation?

Escalate it to the CEO or someone then, you're in the right legally if it's written down.

I've just signed a new 12 month contract and the discount is for 18 months, i hope they don't try the same with me

Have you tried raising this on the help and support forum on the VM website?

Same, just re-contracted as mine ran out 18th November and a 12 month £5 discount was due to expire.
Managed to get that one re-applied for 12 months and a further £5 per month discount for 18 months...this was for going on a new 12 month contract.
Got an email to confirm the changes too so thats being archived.

Had someone on here recently with the same problem, but we managed to help them out.

Can you double check to see the exact date you signed up. Was it definitely April or possibly the end of March?

As you'll see from the above link Virgin did back down.

The agreement is dated 07/03/2013.

The agreement clearly states 12 months @ £69.49 for the XXL package.

If you've got a contract with it in writing then they really have no option but to honour the discount.

I would personally recommend logging your issue as a formal complaint via the 'Contact Us' form on the website (https://help.virginmedia.com/system/...LATION_REQUEST) and then take it from there. They may take up to a week to respond but from my experience, the complaints department have always been pretty helpful and been able to resolve the couple of issues I've had in the past.

Also, if they don't resolve your issue first time, you can then escalate it.

All the best.
