10 hour outage now only 1 up and downstream
 
Yet again another outage in the Glasgow G14 area, 120M service

It has now come back after 10 hours but with only one upstream and one downstream channel :td:

Getting weary of this poor service.

Their is something wrong with virgin in Glasgow, i'm in the G72 area and i've been having connection issues for a couple of weeks. Endless calls with them informing me that everything is working as it should. Trying to get them to admit their is a problem is like pulling teeth. One particularly aggressive agent insinuated that i must be making these issue up as nobody else has called in with the same problems then dropped the call on me.

And plus today and yesterday the DNS servers have been going up and down more than underpants on a $5 crack whore. Fun times..

Your connection stats seem fine. Not great, but fine.

What exactly seems to be your connection "issue"?

That's a bit of a stretch since my area of Glasgow G42 has been perfectly fine since I joined end of January. Connection issues for you, does not equal connection issues for me. Even if we were on the same UBR and area that could be the case as downtime for someone else in my area does not automatically equal downtime for me, unless it's an area fault.

As far as I'm aware Glasgow is one of the best areas in the country to be in.

Don't bother even calling offshore CS. Do stuff via the community forum unless you have a real need for calling like getting a refund for downtime.

Virgins DNS servers are often a bit iffy. Change to Google DNS or Open DNS. Problem solved.

Those power levels are extremely borderline and there's definitely a loss of connection there. Call them up and get a tech out.
