Redundancy question
Just a quick question regarding redundancy payment.
What is the amount of time you should have to wait for your redundancy payment after your last day of employment. Cheers fonts of knowledge! |
Re: Redundancy question
If it's straight forward and the company hasn't gone belly up 3-6 weeks.

Re: Redundancy question
In my experience you should get it in either in your final pay packet or in the one after so along the lines of Nidge's 3-6 weeks

Re: Redundancy question
When l got made redundant, l was told several days before how much l was getting and that it would all be in the bank on the normal pay day - which it was.
However, this is the crunch question and answer. When you go and sign on, they will expect you to have all the letter's wage slips etc PLUS a letter saying when you got made redundant and how much you got paid. That was the saddest day of my life, as l wanted to retire with them and it was a great company to work for. I still drive past it, today. It has been made into a storage company now. The good point of it was the firm who took over the company offered to relocate me to Aylesbury, where it was brought from. But l had to say no to due to costs etc. |
