tivo remote apps android.works on one device not other

I have got a nexus 7 and a nexus 4.
Installed RCD for TiVo and android TiVo remote.
Both work on nexus 7 but neither on nexus 4. Checked all settings and nothing obvious.
Anyone got any ideas?
