need help- Only skype works
 

Hello I have an issue

on my superhub I have the top light Blue and the second light solid green like it is meant to be

I am in the LS8 area and I can only use skype on my internet.

My internet was down and I was getting a lot of errors on the 192.168.0.1 page and now all I can use is skype

I have tried multiple computers..wireless and wired and it is all the same, should I just wait and it will fix itself or what.

even when using skype it is very laggy and all my calls are robotic and it always disconnects always

getting a lot of errors like 8025000 or something similar in status... when I phoned they said there was a issue in my area tonight but is this normal and why does it happen?

its not normal hence theres a problem in your area.

I meant more has this happened to anyone before..

also my superhub, when I restart it can take up to 30mins to get the blue light and solid green light, before that its just flashing all the time.. I know 100% its an area issue but virgin status page still shows my area are working under broadband :(

Most super hubs locked to more than 1 channel have a flashing blue light. The sh2 has a double arrow second up which constantly flashes.

What's your stats when it's flashing green? paste them from here please?

As everyday says, the light is meant to be blue which means if yours is green you're only locked onto 1 downstream channel.

Why are you 100% sure it's an area issue? You need to ring Virgin so they can actually check. The status page won't get updated unless people ring in.

well the virgin status page just updated saying there might not be broadband in my area and there is a fault scheduled to be fixed by 2;30 pm today.

But what happens is the green light flashes and the top light flashes green as well but about 30mins later it changes to blue/solid green and than I can use skype but it is very very laggy..

Having similar problems myself in the CH66 area. Boot the computer for the first time in the day and I get 3 flashing green lights on the Superhub with no internet access. Can take up to an hour before I get online, been going on for four days now.

i used to turn my SH off at night but i dont now. mainly because i used to get stuck on one channel more often than not.
