I tried to text 789050 saying “SIMPLY8p” to switch tarrifs and it no longer works. Is there a new number for this?

The Simply8 tariff has been withdrawn I think - unless you are already on it

You can buy them in Poundworld, I did that just a few days ago and am now using the SIM.

Think we're at crossed purposes here. I wasn't on the Simply8 tariff until I bought the SIM card and if the OP wants that tariff he can get it by doing likewise. Evidently he can't switch his current tariff to Simply8 and he'll have a new mobile phone number.

Indeed. A pre-activated SIM for the tariff is the same as already being on it, because it's already active on the SIM you have got.

But, the original issue was that the switch text didn't work - because it's been withdrawn for that purpose

Poundworld? - I'll have to try them, as the ones I got from Poundland didn't activate.

Or are we reaching the date at which they will all be dead?
