Fridge reccomendation

We're looking for a new fridge (tall larder)
We have a 1455h 55w Swan which has developed a fault that cant be repaired (spares not available even though its only 7 months old)
So we're thinking about getting a slightly taller & wider one 1750h 600w

Anywho the maximum budget for this is about £330 so if anyone can recommend any within the spec it would be appreaciated.

TIA

Al

if it's only 7 months old, surely the shop will be replacing it with the same/similar specced model?

We're happy with our Bosch, had it for years, I forget how much we paid.

Whatever you do don't buy a Beko.

I've got a Samsung myself..

Nice big fridge, slightly smaller (but still good size) freezer, and it runs so quietly that for the first few weeks, I kept opening it just to check it was working.

I must be missing something here. Why are you not getting a free replacement via the manufacturer or the retailer? Goods have to perform as advertised for the duration of their working lives. Even under the older sale of goods act, a fridge that breaks down and is irreparable after just 7 months was clearly not of merchantable quality.

If you have been getting the run around from your supplier, then talk to your council trading standards for advice, or your local CAB.

We've had one for years and it's been great.

We must have been unlucky then because we had nothing but problems when we had one.

Years warranty surely you should be getting a new one under that.

I am looking at Hotpoint or Samsung for my house, some good ones from them.

Sorry didn't leave all details :dunce:
We have been offered a full refund by the retailer & we're going to use that along with additional funds to buy the replacement.
