No connection to router?
 
My daughter still has the Ambit 256 modem connected to wireless router.
Question: Does Virgin have a maximum No of reseting of modem before cutting off connection? She has been having probs with her router and has had to reboot modem about a dozen times testing her connection to router.
At the moment she has no connection at all? - Just putting footware on prior to going to investigate.

Not officially no. What I mean is, they won't cut you off or anything like that. Sometimes lots of reboots can confuse the UBR though.

Here's what to do: With the modem OFF, Unscrew the coax of the modem and then switch it ON. Let it settle for a few minutes and you of course will have no connection. Now, without switching the modem off, screw the coax back in and leave it about another minute. You may have to reboot your router at this point but after that you should be back on.
