Rover fuel pump problems

Hello CF

Any help here wouldn't go a miss...

I got a 1999 rover 420, diesel, it has fuel in it and I can prime/pump right up to the fuel pump but after the fuel pump there's nothing but when I put the ignition in the start position it seems to be ticking away fine, or sounds no different now from when I bought it, it's almost if the pump itself is blocked.

Does anyone have any thought's ?
