Any ideas ?

I didn't know which thread to put this on, so CFT, l apologise, But. After reading the article on Sky, which is the second highest building in the world, l have always wondered - how the hell do they get the crane up to the top and then down again, and how to balance it in such strong winds. Always wondered, any ideas. :D |

It doesn't go up or down in one go, they're assembled from much smaller parts up there and taken to bits the same way.

The cranes on those "super high rise"towers are fixed the side and build themselves,the top part ,the crane bit, jacks up and new section is inserted underneath by the crane itself ,the reverse is done to dismantle it .Here's a nifty little video showing the whole process

Thanks for that, l have often wondered that, l have stood under some real tall buildings with a crane on the top and said, how the hell do they get it up there, and down.
