I don't think they have. She could be given parole although I agree with you that I hope not. I am not sure how likely it is though...

Our country and law dismay me, someone that has been PROVEN by judge and jury could be allowed again to walk in society beggars belief.
People really need to give their heads a shake (sorry mods for the swear) <Admin Deleted - if you know we won't like it, don't type it>

IIRC the first attempt for release after a life sentence tariff has expired is rarely successful. She has been jailed indefinitely and could easily be inside for years yet.

Let's hope she is. I can't think of anything more evil than what she did.

I read on the internet that the others have been released, but were sent back to prison, the article was also in the national newspapers :shocking:

There are two sides to this story, Yes she is a nasty piece of work, but then the other side - if she has done her time, then its up to the parole board to decide.

If the prisoner shows remorse then they would be released under licence, and l dont think there is anything you can do. Its the stupid law that we have to live with.

Wouldn't say Shoesmith and co didn't makes mistakes but i think we have a major underfunding problem in social services that's been going on for years.

We hear about these tragedies every year and have for the last 30 years and still the same mistakes are being made so it seems lessons are still not being learnt...

There are 2 sides, the child & the mother. Ones dead, the other is free. Showing remorse is one thing, Arthur, look at what happened to that poor child. I would lynch her.
