Stopping a recording

Theres probably a simple answer to this but I couldnt figure it out.
The other night I was watching and recording airport live (the mrs was in bed thats why I was recording as well) I was recording something else as well, so that was 2 tuners used up. Every now and then I would flick over to Bbc 3 to see what the score was in the football. Then the 3rd tuner kicked in recording some suggestion . When I tried to flick back to the football it wanted to cancel the recording of airport live which I didnt want it to do. How do I cancel the recording of the suggestion ?

Or go into settings and turn off the recording suggestions option if you don't like the suggestions being recorded. Personally, I find that suggestions always record on the SD or AD channel for BBC1, ITV and Channels 4 and 5 which annoys me as I like them on the HD channel if I record anything. So I turned it off.

changing channel of the 'suggestion' should force it to stop recording the suggestion.

I just go to My Shows, highlight the programme that's recording and press clear. You then get the option to stop recording, stop recording & delete or continue recording.
