Anyone been playing The Last of Us on PS3?

It's the latest game from Naughty Dog, the developers of the brilliant Uncharted trilogy.

3rd person action-adventure survival horror, set a couple of decades after a fungal outbreak has caused a zombie apocalypse.

You play as Joel, a jaded smuggler who ends up escorting a young girl called Ellie across America. You face off not just against different forms of "Infected" but also against other survivors, people who now do "whatever it takes" to stay alive.


Naughty Dog have really outdone themselves. It looks, sounds, and plays brilliantly, and IMO is one of the finest games of this generation on any platform. The story and voice acting are excellent.

I've put maybe 20 hours into it, and am 90something% of the way through.

Weapons and skills can be upgraded, but the scarcity of ammo means that you need to try and be stealthy a lot, avoiding fighting where possible or doing silent shiv/strangle kills if you can.

It's bloody brilliant. I think I'll jump right into newgame+ once I've finished.

Naughty Dog also created Crash Bandicoot way back on the PS1.

I want to buy it but not sure. Hmm what do it do? Do i buy it and spend £40 or do i save that £ for next gen console?

Without spoilers what does NewGame+ bring? Do you get to play any differently, unlimited ammo etc?

Ok im a bit stuck and i need help. I am underground where i get the backpack with the women and she says i need to give her a boast. How do i do this as nothing came up saying what buttons i need to press and i cant find anything to help. Im stuck :(

You get to keep all the stuff you unlocked and upgraded previously.

You pretty much have to do NG+ if you want more than just a couple of Trophies, as it's not possible to fully upgrade or unlock everything in one playthrough.
