How full is your hard drive
I ask this question as just over 2 weeks ago my TiVo rebooted and VM that time successfully recovered my hard drive! link here
Do you take your TiVo for granted, if it was your computer you would probably back your most important files! Back up or just watch it was a timely reminder to me to watch my recordings on TiVo and not just store them on there for a rainy day! I would love to know you views on this! PS the other day for a short period of time I had 0% showing on my hard drive:) I felt uncluttered and relieved:D |
Re: How full is your hard drive
At the moment about 65 to 70% full. Several programmes I would be gutted at losing, especially as I am saving 30 episodes for a member of family due to visit in August.

Re: How full is your hard drive
keep mine pretty low any series I want to watch I leave them till they are finish and download in HD. Lost far to many programs to failures over the years off far to many boxes to rely on a pvr lol

Re: How full is your hard drive
25% on my Sky 2TB box and that is mostly HD episodes or boxsets. Whole HD series of Game of thrones on there for example. Might have to go out and buy it on blu-ray if the hard drive died or they expired!

Re: How full is your hard drive
Over 80% here, wouldn't bother me if it failed and we lost it all, as EVERY recording is some dross that Mrs G likes. On the odd occasion I record something Mrs G will delete it if I haven't watched it in a couple of days!!

If I had wanted to have a dig I would have also mentioned the 3D recordings on my box, like Galapagos 3D ;) They take up a fair amount of space too and would be gutted if I lost those as I still have one to watch! Spoiler:

Re: How full is your hard drive
A interesting side question how much hard drive space is reserved for recording of live TV for instant playback purposes?
