TV packages
I need to save some cash and currently have XL TV.
No one watches too much TV during the summer here and the picture quality on non HD channels is fine. I notice that the packages have changed and was thinking of swapping right down to M. It looks like the package I am using is just charging a lot for HD> I have a V+ box and TIVO. Any implications for these? |
Re: TV packages
The main thing would be that on packages other than XL there is a £5 a month fee for the V+ box
|
Re: TV packages
I thought there would be a catch.
The lower the package the higher the fees ............. So is it possible for me to have only VM Phone and broadband? |
Re: TV packages
Yes, as my aunt has only that. She pays not much a month, and she has had that since November last year. They called her, and offered her a TiVo with M+, phone and internet for £35 a month all in, no fees or anything. She said unless they could offer it for £30 a month she would reject it.
Best thing to do would be to go to leaving them, that;s 150, then once at main menu it is 5, then 3. Worth a call. Be polite to them, and they will be more likely to assist in cutting costs for you. |

Re: TV packages
Aye I will call but the info on here is good and I like to have a few bullets in my gun before I call.
I have been having a nosey at the packages offered on line for new people and I am paying to much for how I use it. The internet is excellent though as the speed through my old copper line would be rubbish. |
Re: TV packages
And remember if they do offer you a deal it usually comes with a NEW minimum contract attached, which they dont always mention.
|
Re: TV packages
Aye I know aboutthe contract it just seems like I would get a much better deal if I was new.
If I am paying what I am now then I should be getting more - higher broadband for example. Do you think it is better to call during the working week? |
Re: TV packages
If calling leaving us then yes wait until Monday now as they don't open on Sundays.
