no on demand?
I have an HD box downstairs and a Tivo box in the bedroom.
I started watching a program last night on BBC on Demand downstairs and went upstairs to watch the rest and got the message " On Demand is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later" Tonight same again - it works fine on my HD box but not on my Tivi - so I called 150 and pressed 1 to confirm I was calling from my Virgin account and.... Nothing - no sound and nothing to confirm I was still connected. How do i get help from virgin when the phone just doesn't give me any feedback? What do i do now>? Is Virgin's helpline not working? |
Re: no on demand?
The phones are currently overloaded due to the ITV failure. Try again later or report your fault at http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/TiVo/bd-p/Tivo.
Are you getting a 4-digit error code with the message? |
Re: no on demand?
No error code - just says on Demand is unavailable - but it works fine on my HD box. It's a program on BBC I'm trying to watch.
PS - Forgot to say thanks for taking the time to reply. |
Re: no on demand?
tivo uses bbc servers vhd uses vm servers.

Re: no on demand?
Interesting.
Why? |
Re: no on demand?
I believe it was a request from bbc themselves as they think the app provides a better experience. In my opinion when virgin host the videos you get a more reliable service. I suppose that explains why it can happen

Re: no on demand?
A better experience? I beg to differ.
Thanks for your reply. ---------- Post added at 22:08 ---------- Previous post was at 21:41 ---------- Just realised - I don't get as far as choosing the channel. All on demand isn't working on my Tvo but floes on my HD box. |
Re: no on demand?
Definately needs reporting of none of the on demand menus work.
In the meantime try going via the red button on a BBC channel - that uses the Connected Red Button app, rather than the On Demand section |
