The Office

Anyone else watch this? Admittedly I put it off for years and years as I loved our version too much but it has now finished, the final episode went out last night (about to put it on now!) and I've just been watching The Office Special which is a retrospective interview with the cast and crew, all very emotional but really good. I'm going to miss this!

Awesome finale!!! Absolutely perfect the way they tied everything up :)

Re: The Office

I thought the finale was poor to be honest. They tried to pack too much nostalgia into the episode and there were a few too many montages of the past, the rest of the episode being fairly unstructured as a result. I also wished they used Michael Scott's return a bit more, he had a couple of lines and appearances and was gone.

Too much stuff was resolved in a sense. Almost every character had a life changing event. All jammed into one episode.

Personally I was hoping that it would be mostly normal episode with a few things tied up and the last scene to be a photo of the cast, with Michael Scott, that mirrored the final scene of the UK Office (where they have a photo with the returned David Brent). That would have had a nice symmetry with the UK version and also with it's first episode which was almost a shot for shot remake of the first UK episode.
