You may save money buy subscribing to Boxnation.

As I understand it, it costs £10.25 a month for Sky+ features to be enabled if you don't subscribe to any channels.

Boxnation I believe is £10 a month, so, even if you don't ever watch boxing, it is a little cheaper to subscribe than not.

I had wrongly assumed that one would have to subscribe to some Sky channels to get the Sky+ fee waived, but this is not the case.

Are there any other standalone channels eg porn, asian, kids that are cheaper than £10 a month?

Lol, I wonder if the football club TV channels eg Chelsea are even cheaper than £10 per month?

Anyone know the least expensive way of getting a VM TiVo with all features working?

Update:

It has now been brought to my attention that in some cases Sky have been adding the Sky+ features without request or notification and then billing customers for the service.

If you have subscribed to a third party standalone channel and find that Sky+ has been reactivated, you will be charged.

If you did not request this service, my advice is to inform Sky to tell them to cancel it and remove all charges raised thus far.
