Problems with possible app
My dad has an HTC Desire S, a red star keeps appearing in the menu, I ran airpush detector, but nothing showed.
I clicked on it and it opened a text message prompting me to send a text Message "LUCKY" to 88222. A cancelled and did a search and found out that this is one of those £1.50 to send/receive. I cannot find how this appeared on the phone or how to stop it. My dad is now trying to find his account details to check his account for T-mobile. Any ideas on how to block this from sending or receiving from them? |
Re: Problems with possible app
This will be an advert from an app he installed
Depending on his version of Android he may be able to find out what app it is by long pressing the notification and selecting App Info. From there you can uninstall the app or disable notifications. |
