Re: Anyone fancy 1000meg?
Doesn't mean anything really, I have 120meg and it took me 2 hours to load nearly 4 gig from the EA server yesterday, but 20gig in 1 hour form another.
So its only as good as what the download server allows. |
Re: Anyone fancy 1000meg?
I'm seriously struggling to see what you'd need 1000mbps for.

Re: Anyone fancy 1000meg?
From £37 a month for that you have to pay £100 connection fee and all you get is 10/10 reserved "bursting up to 1000/1000"...
You also have to install it yourself or order a gigaclear approved installer for £85 per 25m! Does look impressive though. All I could see it being used for is idiots bragging about their fast internet |
Re: Anyone fancy 1000meg?
I have to say that I'd like to have 1gig download available (if I could achieve that speed) for £37/month :)

You can install the fibre and router yourself – we provide full instructions, if you can dig a hole and use a drill you should be fine! You can use a local electrician or handyman You can order an installation from a Gigaclear approved installer for a typical fee of £85 for a 25m installation. See http://www.boxcomngn.net/ |

It was clear when moving from VM to Sky that there was a lot more than the local circuit that was congested, it would seem a lot of peering points across VM's network are running hot, see the discussing here http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/12...imitation.html |

I know someone who brought a lot of land there but getting planning permission is proving impossible, he has even had the local BBC on his side. That's why property costs so much, most of he properties are owned by 6 families and nothing EVER comes up for sale and they dont want anyone building new homes there. |

I'd still go for it though :) |
