Can someone please explain to me, if you don't eat solid food, how can you survive on just fluid.

It's what the fluid contains that counts. It has enough of the essentials for her to remain alive.

Would assume the same those who put on a drip in hospital surely. Have throat op you cant swallow they just put everything in tube even medication.

l was in hospital for 6 months and for the first two had nothing but fluids and as long as it contains the essentials its perfectly safe for the patient.
