Well I guess they'd sell Android and ChromeOS. I can see why they'd want to sell it themselves.

I suppose that they will have to be wary about this when they design the layout for the stores ;)

I guess for those who like a hands on approach it is just retail stores add overheads as long as the shop prices were the same as online it would be ok if not then who will buy them from the store

Wonder if there is shift to try get those who wont purchase via the amazon, ebay fear losing money.

Agree dont think google got enough to really needing own shop.

Wonder if they will broker with online companies purchase goods.

That's because you like building your own tech rather than having it handed to you on a shiny plate ;)

Google seems to be after a slice of the lifestyle hardware market that Apple currently owns. Retail stores similar to Apple's would be a logical next step for them. Except without the lines of benches, of course ...

I must say I am loving the "artists impression" on that article. If artists get paid that much to lift a Google logo and put it on top of what is clearly a Hobbycraft sign then I am in the wrong job! :D

Great idea. They now sell their own range of android Tablets and a phone, pkus the Chrome OS and Chromebooks they already have some products to stock. They could of course sell other Android handets and tablets from othe manufacturers
