it is also looking like the deaths happened in the middle east so most lilely went without proper treatment. Lets worry once WHO tells us too lol

An old friend of mine was recently flown back to UK from Dubai for treatment as the original diagnosis was of this disease. His health insurance company would NOT allow him to be treated over there.

Luckily the tests showed it was a different ailment from which he made a full recovery.

no it does not

SARI stands for Severe Acute Respiratory Infection
SARS is Severe acute respiratory syndrome

they are not the same it clearly states in you initial link it is SARS like not SARS

The patient in the WHO link had a certain strain of coronavirus but bare in mind the common cold falls under this as well I have a cold at the moment with a cough so I might have a strain of coronavirus but that does not mean I may have SARS

I love how some exaggerate somethings just to get a news story, people should read and absorb before posting something that turns out to be inaccurate. :)

I would be more concerned about the guy in the WHO link who has this virus alongside a strain of H1N1 nice opportunity to mutate

I may got it slighty wrong wording but 40% death rate surely worry for any disease.

Hopefully our weather will kill it it dont spread wildly. Loses its power due to early effective containment/treatment.

Found out looking in who apparantly respritory illness can be caught from animals. In 2009 Who had outbreak of hendra virus which can cause respritory or neurologic complications. Though the 3 infected fully recovered thankfully.

a 40% death rate when it is new and only a few cases is meaningless due to the fact treatments have not been tested.Remember it has not started here in the west it started elsewhere where treatment may not be as easy to attain. Now if it was 40% still when cases are in the tens of thousands then I would be a little frightened
